Message It's clear you have little grasp of even fundamental physics.

when your car is at speed there is somewhat of a "pocket of air within your wheels that is stationary relative to the air rushing past it.

No, there isn't. The Porsche wheel lip slopes in, similar to the stock Z32 wheel. Air hits the initial lip of the wheel that slopes in causing a low pressure zone thus pumping fresh air into the wheel and onto the braking components. As the air travels towards the end of the vehicle, the same lip which now faces the opposite direction creates a high pressure gradient, thus pumping air back out the face of the wheel. This geometry combined with the fan-blade effect of the wheel spokes serves to pump air through the face of the wheel a great deal during operation. Your "stationary pocket of air theory" is total bullshit. There is no magical stationary vacuum.

Air in motion has lower pressure than air not in motion,

The gas inside the wheel itself is not stationary.

so the higher pressure "pocket" of air within your wheelspace moves outward towards the area of lower pressure in order to balance out.

What about the air traveling under the vehicle, behind the face of the wheel? Wheels aren't sealed on the backside. Try again.

The wheels forcing air in would work against this to some extent.

Please stop.

That would have to be my guess why they are designed to draw air out.

Again, please stop guessing. You're completely clueless. You aren't an automotive engineer, you've never designed a wheel, and from reading your post I don't even think you've taken a highschool physics course.

I cant really see in those pics whether the shape of the spokes directs air in either direction, but it would be hard to imagine Porsche making such an oversight.

Perhaps you should contact Porsche and let them know about their possible oversight. I'm sure the engineers would *love* to hear about your revisionist physics theories.

Recursively Yours,
Kenny...
